Part 3, Payette Lake

Pat was a little dubious about the lake.  He kept asking if there were biting flies at the beach.  Luckily, there wasn't.  The sun was warm and the water cold (but not as cold as Lake Michigan).   There was a nice breeze coming off the water so even if you didn't get wet you stayed comfortable.  I'm a wimp.  I didn't do much more than dip my toes in the water.  The B-D's, Kakes, Pat, and Malone all went in for a dip.

"I'm having a great time even though my lips are starting to turn blue!"

There were a few trees that were in the water.  Pat started off "walking the plank" and then Malone and S gave it a try.  Even I took a turn.

Playing at the lake was hard work!

After the lake we headed back to the cabin.  The kids played outside.  There was a remote control car at the cabin that was a big hit with all the kids.  So much so, that there were lots of tears over who's turn it was to play with.    Pat had been running it around the porch until he discovered this...

Stinging bugs?!  It's time to start playing inside.  Pat convinced Aunt J to play a couple of games with him, something he'd been requesting for the last few days.  The Drummonds in the group kept telling him No!.  All the kids were exhausted but unfortunately didn't fall asleep quite as easily as they did the previous night.  After Ga-Ga played the meanie, they finally succumbed.

Today is the day that Papa flies in.   We haven't quite decided if we're leaving tomorrow afternoon to start the journey back home or if we'll wait until the next morning.  Ga-ga flies out on Monday morning.  It's been fun in Idaho.  The state as exceeded my expectations!
