McCall, Idaho Adventures Part 1

Thursday morning the kids (excluding A & B) spent the morning at "Rendezvous in the Park", thanks to their smart Aunt J who had signed them up.  Kakes was especially excited because they would have the opportunity to make tie dye shirts (something she's been wanting to do for ages).  The kids headed over to the park around 8:45am and we picked them up sometime after noon.  It was nice to have a little break from the kiddos while we repacked our bags in anticipation of an overnight adventure.  When we arrived at the park, they had live music on the stage and Malone and Sasha were dancing (kind of) on the side.:)  The kids had a fantastic time!

Not long after picking the big kids up, we got in the cars and headed back south towards McCall, ID to a cabin that the B-D's friends owned.

On the way down we stopped in Riggins, ID at Cleo Patterson Memorial Park which is along the Salmon River for snacks and potty breaks.  I thought it was really cool that they had vendors selling lemonade and snacks in the park.  We patronized a girl probably only a couple of years older than Kakes and enjoyed some pink lemonade.  The views of the river from the park are stunning.  It was a great break from the car ride.

We arrived at the cabin in the late afternoon.  The cabin is beautiful and the perfect size for our travelling group.  There are 3 bedrooms so the adult B-D's (with A) took the downstairs bedroom, Ga-Ga and I took one of the upstairs room, and the rest of the cousins got to share the other upstairs bedroom with my girls in one bed and Pat and S in the other.  That was the room that has the sliding glass door in the picture below.   We had to ban it being opened because of the open space on either side of the balcony.

We enjoyed another fabulous meal and one by one the kids headed off to bed.  It was probably the earliest that my kids had been to bed since starting our trip.  They all slept in to a decent hour too but judging by their crankiness today you wouldn't have thought it!
