Part 2, Burgdorf Hot Springs

Enjoying the hot tub at the cabin this morning

Our first destination for today was Burgdorf Hot Springs.  The kids had been anticipating this excursion since we arrived in Moscow.  However, I think that their anticipation was greater than the reality.

It's next to impossible to see in the picture but there's a little snow on the peak in the background.
The water was really clear.

The kids enjoyed themselves at first but then they noticed that there were a few horse flies buzzing around.  After the debacle at Salt Lake with the biting insects, the kids were not up to dealing with horse flies.  The majority got out right away.  What can I say?  My kids are citified.

It was a really neat place though.  It would be an awesome place to visit during the winter or even during the spring/fall when the weather is cooler.

For all my kids' complaints, I think they'll look back fondly on this excursion.  Luckily, the next stop on our mini-adventure was a bigger hit...Payette Lake.
